    1. Yes…it was the challenges fault! I would NEVER do something like that on my own (well…we’ll forget about Jackson, but STILL!)

      You’re right about the family never being the same again. It will take its toll on Liam. He will be forever changed. And right when his life was looking up! Ugh.

      So sad for Brandy! Such a little sweetheart taken so young. 😭😭😭😭😭

      Anti: It was no one’s fault. Brandy was supposed to be napping and she somehow snuck out of her room, looking for a toy. It blew into the pool and she thought she could get it. The pool was too deep. 😭😭😭 Not sure even Liam could have prevented it.

  6. Real tears here Pammie! 💔💔💔💔😭😭😭😭. Even though I knew this was most likely what was coming I still bawled.

    It hit me when Liam was playing with her in new house in the pool. The foreboding was there. And I tried to ignore it. I just knew this is how it would happen. It still hurts.

    The chapter was a beautiful tribute to her short little life. She was the sweetest little thing. And Lexie on the piano with the angel wings and finally Brandy toddling through the door. Whoa. Powerful. 😭😭😭

      I figured the piano girl would confuse, but that’s okay because Lexie playing would be sad as well as appropriate! It actually is Brandy as a woman. I wanted to show everyone what she looked like if she made it to adulthood. She transformed at the door, going from adult to child then to her toddler self. 💔💔💔💔😭😭😭😭

      I wasn’t sure if it would provoke real tears but I’m glad it touched you. Her little life was the sweetest. And yeah, the foreshadowing of that huge pool was there. I wanted to make that point early on. So… 😭

  7. I was like: Whoa. But Why? And when did Pammie turn into a child killer writer? Then I read something about the challenge. I like the twist, ofc. The picture of Brandy heading toward the pool was powerful enough to carry the weight of the whole chapter. Even if you hadn’t posted anything else, it would be enough.

    1. Yeah…unfortunately, it’s written in the gen (and honestly, I was thinking about skipping the whole gen because of it and the way Liam will have to act, but as I wrote Liam’s character, it fit him.)
